Word For Today. 09/13/2025

God’s View

  • God sees the world’s brokenness clearly, but He also sees you. He knows the pain, the anxiety, the shifting ground under your feet. Yet He doesn’t abandon the picture — He holds the whole story.

  • God’s view is that change is real, necessary, and part of His plan. But He is unchanging Himself. His character, His promises, His purposes — those are steadfast.

Key Scriptures:

  • Hebrews 13:8 — “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (patriciaengler.com)

  • Malachi 3:6 — “For I the LORD do not change.” (riverlakeschurch.org)

  • Psalm 46:1–3 — Though the earth gives way, though mountains fall into the heart of the sea, God is still our refuge and strength. (riverlakeschurch.org)

Hope (from God’s View in the midst of the world)

  • Because God does not change, we have hope that no matter what shifts in life (economies, governments, personal health, loss), He remains with us.

  • God promises that He works all things — even the painful, frightening changes — for good for those who love Him. (sheyearns.com)

  • Our hope is anchored in His purposes, not in circumstances — anchored in His resurrection, His restoration, His redemption. (Clear Bible)

Key Scriptures:

  • Romans 8:28 — “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (sheyearns.com)

  • Jeremiah 29:11 — “For I know the plans I have for you… to give you hope and a future.” (Bible Study Tools)

  • 1 Peter 1:3 — God gives us a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. (bridgebible.church)

How to Change

Change isn’t passive. From God’s view, transformation requires intentional movement — choosing faith over fear, renewing the mind, aligning with God’s Word, repenting, and stepping forward even when you can’t see the whole path.

Steps & Scriptures:

  1. Repentance & surrender — turning away from what opposes God’s ways.

    • Acts 3:19 — “Repent … and turn … that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” (Clear Bible)

  2. Renewing your mind — filling your thoughts with truth.

    • Romans 12:2 — “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind …” (implied among verses about change) (Bible Study Tools)

  3. Trusting and obeying even when uncertain — walking by faith.

    • Hebrews 11 (many examples) — faith in the unseen.

    • Isaiah 41:10 — God strengthens, helps, upholds you. (bridgebible.church)

  4. Engaging the Word + Prayer + Community — these are tools and means God uses.

    • Scripture meditation, prayer, fellowship help the change root deeply.

    • Hebrews 10:23–25 — holding fast, encouraging one another. (bridgebible.church)

How to Stay Changed

Transformation can happen, but staying changed takes perseverance, vigilance, and grace. Here’s what God shows us:

  1. Continual dependence on God — not slipping back into self-reliance. Always returning to prayer, acknowledging you need Him.

    • Psalm 121:1–2 — “I lift up my eyes … my help comes from the LORD.”

  2. Rooted in the Word — daily, not occasionally. The Word is lamp, light, guide, and the source of truth.

  3. Discipline + Obedience — practicing what you know, resisting what you were.

  4. Accountability + Community — fellowship with people who will encourage, correct, pray, stand with you.

  5. Remembrance of what God has done — reflecting on past deliverances, answered prayers; that builds faith that He will continue to be faithful.

Scripture supporting staying changed:

  • 2 Corinthians 4:16–18 — “Though outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day…” (bridgebible.church)

  • Philippians 4:6–7 — praying, thanksgiving, then peace guarding your heart & mind. (sheyearns.com)

  • Hebrews 10:23–25 — holding fast, not forsaking gathering together. (bridgebible.church)

Application — A God’s View Message You Could Share

Here’s a sketch you could use as a post or message:

Friend, when the storms of life rage — governments change, tragedies strike, fears overtake — God is not surprised. He is constant. He is working. God’s view is that you are precious. You are not alone. Change may assail, but He remains. The hope you have is not wishful thinking. It is rooted in the resurrection, in promises that do not fail. In Romans 8:28, He works all things together. In Jeremiah 29:11, He promises hope and a future. To change: turn to Him, renew your mind, obey what He shows you, walk in faith even when you can’t see the road. To stay changed: lean into prayer, cling to His Word, stay in community, remember His faithfulness. When the old things press in, let the new creation in Christ remind you: you are being made new daily. Grace will lead you, strength uphold you, and hope carry you — not because of what you do, but because of Who He is.
