Understanding Your Spiritual Life (For Younger Believers) #4.

This is a beautiful summary of the transformative power of Jesus in our lives.


Let's explain each point:

  1. Forgiveness of Sins

  • Jesus makes it so our wrongdoings are forgiven, like wiping a dirty slate clean. (Verses: Acts 5:31, 10:43; Ephesians 1:7, 4:32; Colossians 1:13-14, 2:13-14)

  • We become friends with God again, fixing the relationship broken by our sins. (Verse: II Corinthians 5:18-19)

  1. Spiritual New Birth

  • Believing in Jesus is like being Born Again in a Spiritual way. It's a fresh start, a new beginning. (Verses: John 3:3; I Peter 1:3, 23; I John 5:1)

  1. Eternal Life Through Faith

  • By trusting in Jesus, we get to live forever with God. It's like receiving the best present that never ends. (Verses: John 3:16; 5:24; 6:40, 47; 11:25-26; 17:1-3; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; I Timothy 1:16; I John 5:11-12)

  1. Access to God

  • Jesus makes a way for us to come close to God, like opening a locked door. (Verses: John 14:6; Ephesians 2:18, 3:11-12; Hebrews 10:19-22)

  1. Membership in God's Family

  • We become part of God's big family, like being adopted into the best family ever. (Verses: John 1:12; Romans 8:15-17; Galatians 3:26; Ephesians 1:5, 2:19; I John 3:1-2)

  1. Understanding God's Teachings

  • Like a teacher, Jesus helps us understand what God wants us to know, helping a student learn new things. (Verses: John 14:26, 16:13-15; I Corinthians 2:9-13)

  1. Becoming a New Person

  • Believing in Jesus changes us completely, giving us a new way to live better and brighter. (Verses: Romans 6:4-22; II Corinthians 5:17; Philippians 4:13)

  1. Empowerment for Change and Growth

  • Jesus gives us the strength to change and grow more like Him, helping us get to know God better daily. (Verses: John 17:3; Romans 8:2, 28-29; II Corinthians 5:17; Philippians 1:6, 4:13; Colossians 1:9-11; I Thessalonians 2:13; II Peter 1:3-4)

Each point highlights a different aspect of Jesus's incredible change in our lives, transforming us and drawing us closer to God.
