Let's dive deep into some of the primary Scriptures mentioned and explain them in a way that's easy for younger Believers to understand:
Romans 6:23a - "For the wages of sin is death..."
This part means that when we do wrong things (sin), it leads to harmful consequences; like when you do something wrong at home, there might be correction, discipline, or punishment. Here, it's talking about being Spiritually separated from God.
Ephesians 2:1-3, 11-12 - "...you were dead in your transgressions and sins...you were separate from Christ...without hope and God in the world."
These verses tell us that before knowing Jesus, we were like people walking around without real life inside us because we were not connected to God. It's like being in a big, fantastic playground but unable to play or enjoy any games.
Colossians 1:21 - "Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior."
This means that before we know Jesus, we're not friends with God. Our wrong actions make a wall between us and Him, like when you're upset with a friend and don't want to talk to them.
II Corinthians 4:3-4 - "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers..."
Imagine if you had invisible glasses that made everything look different. That's what these verses are saying – that Satan can make us see things the wrong way, not realizing what's truly good or bad.
John 8:34 - "Jesus replied, 'Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.'"
This is like saying when we keep doing bad things, it's like being stuck or trapped in a bad habit. We keep doing it, even if we don't want to, just like when you can't stop eating candy even though you know it's not good for you.
I Corinthians 2:14 - "The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God..."
This verse means that if we don't have Jesus in our hearts, God's teachings might sound confusing or unimportant to us. It's like trying to read a book in a language we don't understand.
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Here, the Bible says that everyone has done wrong things, which makes us imperfect to God. It's like trying to jump and touch the sky, but you can't because it's too high.
John 15:4-6 - "Remain in me, as I also remain in you...if you do not remain in me, you are like a branch thrown away and withering..."
These verses are like saying if we stay close to Jesus (like a branch attached to a tree), we will grow and be full of life. But if we're not with Jesus, it's like being a broken branch that can't grow leaves or fruit.
