The Difference Between Water Baptism and Spirit Baptism.

Key Verse:

Matthew 3:11 — *"I baptize you with water for repentance, but he coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire."*

**Main Point**:

Water baptism and Spirit baptism are vital experiences in the Christian life, but they serve different purposes. Water baptism is an outward act of obedience, signifying repentance and a public declaration of faith in Christ. Spirit baptism, on the other hand, is an empowering work of the Holy Spirit that fills the believer with His presence, equipping them for service and a deeper walk with God.

**Simple Application**:

If you have been baptized in water, rejoice in that step of obedience, but also seek the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Water baptism is just the beginning. Ask God for the baptism of the Spirit so that you can be empowered to live boldly for Christ, bearing fruit and walking in His gifts.

**Brief Prayer**:

"Lord, thank You for the gift of baptism in water that represents my repentance and faith. I ask for the fullness of Your Holy Spirit so that I may walk in Your power and live out Your calling in my life. Fill me afresh, Lord, and use me for Your glory.

In Jesus' name, Amen."
