The Church in the Days of Israel’s War and Prophetic Fire

Text: Romans 13:11 — “...knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.”

⚔️ INTRODUCTION

The trumpet is sounding. The Middle East is shaking. Israel is at war. Iran is retaliating. The world is watching. But Heaven is calling — “Church, wake up. It’s time to man your post!”

This ain’t the time to be asleep - it’s time to rise! Why? Because what we’re seeing isn’t just politics... It’s prophecy in motion.

We are not called to be fearful spectators. We are commissioned as faithful soldiers.

📜 I. THE PROPHETIC WINDS ARE SHIFTING

Ezekiel 38–39 — Persia (modern-day Iran) rises against Israel

  • God said it would happen—and it has.

  • These aren't random headlines — they’re divine warnings with purpose.

  • God is aligning nations and shaking kingdoms to awaken the Church.

Matthew 24:6-8 — “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars... see that you are not troubled.”

These events don’t mean the end has come — but they do mean it’s closer than yesterday.

II. WHAT THE CHURCH MUST DO — RIGHT NOW

1. WAKE UP FROM SLOTH AND SLUMBER

Romans 13:11 — “It is high time to awake…”

  • No more cruise-control Christianity.

  • The days of “comfortable faith” are over.

  • Now is the hour of Spiritual sobriety, watchfulness, and action.

If your faith can't survive a headline, it won’t survive His return.

2. STAND WITH ISRAEL IN PRAYER AND PRINCIPLE

Psalm 122:6 — “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem...”Genesis 12:3 — “I will bless those who bless you...”

  • We don’t support Israel because they’re perfect — we support them because they’re prophetically chosen.

  • Iran isn’t just opposing a nation — they’re opposing a covenant.

Don’t just “support” Israel — intercede for her.

3. SOUND THE GOSPEL TRUMPET WITH URGENCY

2 Timothy 4:2 — “Preach the word… in season and out of season…”

  • People are scared. Confused. Searching.

  • The Church must be the lighthouse in this storm.

  • We don’t preach politics — we preach Jesus crucified, risen, and coming again.

The Gospel is the only message that makes sense in a world that’s losing its mind.

4. GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER

1 Peter 4:7 — “The end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.”

  • Time to forgive.

  • Time to repent.

  • Time to reconcile and realign.

When the sirens go off, you don’t rearrange the furniture — you get out the fire escape plan.

5. OCCUPY UNTIL HE COMES

Luke 19:13 — “Do business till I come.”

  • We’re not called to hide out — we’re called to press in.

  • Evangelize. Disciple. Serve. Give. Watch. Pray.

  • Stay salty. Stay lit. Stay alert.

God didn’t give us prophecy to create panic, but to call us to purpose.

🧭 III. IF YOU’RE LOST, THIS IS YOUR WAKE-UP CALL

If the world is shaking and you don’t know where to stand — stand at the foot of the Cross. Jesus is not just coming soon — He is coming for a ready Bride.

🔥 ALTAR CALL: FROM THE HELM TO THE HULL

Let’s pray:

“Lord, awaken Your people. Stir our Spirits. Give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to obey. We pray for Israel. We pray for peace. We pray for boldness in the face of shaking. Use us, Lord — because this is our watch. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.”

FINAL WORD: MANNING THE WATCH

All hands on deck doesn’t mean fear — it means faith in action. We’re not just reading prophecy — we’re living in it. Let’s stay holy. Stay humble. Stay ready. And keep looking up — our redemption draweth nigh.
