📦 Story Time with Pastor Terry: The Mysterious Amazon Deliveries.

Y’all look right here at me…

Here lately, I’ll walk outside and—wa-la!—there at my feet is an unexpected Amazon package with my name on it!

I instantly think, “One of our kids or grandkids has sent me a surprise gift! Oh, Happy Day! Happy Dance! Look at this God!”

But then… I open it.

And there it is—the thing I ordered yesterday.

Bummer. Downer. Depress—oh stop it!

Back to Happy Day, Happy Dance! Why? Because at my age, getting something you forgot you ordered is like making a new friend—with the same name as yours!

Proverbs 17:22 says, “A merry heart does good, like medicine…” And I’ve found that with Jesus, getting older doesn’t mean getting grumpier—it just gets gooder and gooder.

Life in Christ is like these packages:

✅ Sometimes we think God’s sending us something totally new…

✅ Sometimes it’s exactly what we asked for yesterday…

✅ Sometimes, we didn’t even realize how much we needed it until it showed up.

Even when the surprise is predictable, the joy is still real—because the Giver is still good.

🛡️ His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). And friend, that’s worth a Happy Dance—even if the neighbors are watching.
