Scripture Anchor: “Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him…’” — Ezekiel 38:1–2 (NKJV)
1. The Modern Alignment
As of late 2025:
Russia and China have deepened military drills, economic pacts, and energy trade, openly challenging U.S. dominance.
Iran has finalized security agreements with both Russia and China, gaining access to weapons, technology, and funding.
In September, joint naval exercises in the Gulf of Oman included Russian, Chinese, and Iranian fleets — a picture of prophecy in motion.
Western leaders warn this bloc represents a new axis of power that could reshape global order.
The map of Ezekiel 38 looks eerily like today’s headlines.
2. Word Study: “Prince” (נָשִׂיא nasi’)
The Hebrew nasi’ means ruler, leader, or chief. Ezekiel describes a powerful leader of the north who gathers nations against Israel. Russia’s dominance in the north fits this prophetic portrait, especially as alliances tighten.
3. Prophetic Insight
Magog — generally associated with the regions north of Israel (many scholars link to modern Russia).
Persia — the ancient name for Iran, specifically mentioned in Ezekiel 38:5.
“Many peoples with you” — other allies, possibly China and satellite states, drawn into the conflict.
We’re not yet at the Gog-Magog war — but the scaffolding is being built.
4. Why It Matters
These alliances are not just political. They are prophetic indicators.
Nations that once competed are now cooperating — driven by a common desire to push Israel and the West aside.
Jesus told us to watch: “When you see these things… know that it is near — at the doors!” (Matthew 24:33).
5. Application for Believers
Don’t be surprised — be watchful.
Strengthen your prayer life for Israel and the persecuted church in these regions.
Refuse fear. God is not caught off guard; He wrote the script in advance.
Anchor in Psalm 46: “Though the nations rage, God is our refuge.”
6. Prophetic Nugget
What looks like “new world order” is actually an old prophecy unfolding. Russia, China, and Iran may believe they’re writing history — but they’re walking a road Ezekiel mapped out 2,600 years ago.
7. Closing Call
Friend, the rise of these alliances proves one thing: God’s Word is true. Don’t just read the news — read it through the lens of prophecy.
