An assay using The Book of Revelation:
Today, brothers and sisters in Christ, let us explore The Book of Revelation together, focusing on five major points that this text presents. We are prepared to be observant as we uncover the depths of what lies ahead, expecting to understand better the glorious hope set before us.
1. Preparing for His Coming: Revelation 1:7 reads, “Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.” We have been commanded to remain watchful and prepared until He comes again in glory – always living our lives in such a way that we are ready when He arrives.
2. The New Jerusalem Descends: In Revelation 21:2, we read, “And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” We can find joy in knowing that one day, God will come down to be with us here on earth, creating a new home for us all and leading us into a world of love and peace.
3. The Gates of Heaven: Revelation 21:21 tells us, “And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass.” When we enter heaven's gates, it will be like entering a grand palace – with beauty beyond our wildest imaginings!
4. No More Death or Mourning: In Revelation 21:4, we read, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, crying, nor pain anymore.” It is truly a beautiful thought to imagine that one day all of our sufferings will end – a new world without pain or sorrow.
5. No More Night: In Revelation 22:5, we read, “And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light.” A world without darkness – what a great concept! We can look forward with great joy and hope to the day when every corner of creation is filled with God's light and love.
My brothers and sisters in Christ, let us remember these Five points as we prepare ourselves for the future – the day when Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, returns to take us home with Him!
Now is the time to turn away from our sins and accept Jesus into our hearts. If you are ready to make that commitment today, I invite you to join me in praying The Sinner’s Prayer: “Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Please forgive me for my sins. I repent and turn away from my old life. I ask You to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Amen."
Let us give thanks for this moment together, knowing that through Faith in Jesus Christ, we can be assured of an Eternity of Joy and Peace in God's presence. Praise the Lord! Amen.
