Revealing the Antichrist: His Identity, Deception, and Our Response

📖 Key Scripture: 1 John 2:18 – "Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time."

I. The Antichrist in Scripture: A Biblical Portrait

1. He is a Deceiver and a False Messiah

🔹 2 Thessalonians 2:8-9 – "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders."

2. He Will Confirm a Peace Covenant for Seven Years

🔹 Daniel 9:27 – "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week..."

🔹 Illustration: A leader negotiates a "historic peace deal" in the Middle East—only to betray everyone later.

3. He Will Demand Worship

🔹 2 Thessalonians 2:4 – "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God..."

4. He Will Enforce the Mark of the Beast

🔹 Revelation 13:16-17 – "And he causeth all... to receive a mark in their right hand, or their foreheads."

II. Signs to Identify the Antichrist Before He is Revealed

1. He Will Arise During a Time of Global Crisis

🔹 Daniel 8:25 – "By peace shall destroy many."

🔹 Illustration: The world seeks a savior after economic collapse, wars, and disasters.

2. He Will Be a Political and Military Genius

🔹 Daniel 7:24 – "And another shall rise after them; and he shall subdue three kings."

🔹 Illustration: A leader unites nations under one government, possibly through war or diplomacy.

3. He Will Perform Miracles Through Demonic Power

🔹 2 Thessalonians 2:9 – "With all power and signs and lying wonders."

🔹 Illustration: A leader heals the sick and calls fire from heaven—and many fall for the deception.

III. What to Do When He Exposes Himself

1. Reject the Mark of the Beast

🔹 Revelation 14:9-11 – "If any man worships the beast... the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God."

🔹 Illustration: Imagine a Christian underground network refusing the Mark, trusting God to provide.

2. Trust in God's Provision

🔹 Psalm 33:18-19 – "To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine."

🔹 Illustration: Just as God fed Elijah with ravens, He will provide for His faithful.

IV. Reassurance for the Saints Who Remain on Earth

1. Jesus is Coming to Destroy the Antichrist

🔹 2 Thessalonians 2:8 – "Whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth..."

🔹 Illustration: Christ returns in glory, wiping out the Antichrist with a single command!

2. God Will Shorten the Days for the Elect's Sake

🔹 Matthew 24:22 – "For the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."

3. Those Who Endure Will Reign With Christ

🔹 2 Timothy 2:12 – "If we suffer, we shall also reign with him..."

V. Conclusion: Choose Now Before It's Too Late

💡 Key Takeaway: The spirit of the Antichrist is already working. Every person must choose to follow Jesus or be deceived.

🙏 Prayer: "Lord, strengthen us to stand firm against deception. May we choose You now so we will never bow to the enemy. In Jesus' Name, Amen."
