Once Reprobate, No Turning Back

Key Verse:

*"And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done."* — Romans 1:28 (ESV)

Main Point:

A reprobate mind results from persistent rejection of God's truth. Although God's mercy is always open to repentance, those who have crossed this line into a hardened rejection of Him have no desire to turn back. It's important to remember that outward appearances, like how someone dresses or behaves, don't determine their spiritual state—but a heart given over to rebellion against God will inevitably show hatred toward holiness.

Application:

As Christians, we must recognize that only God knows the condition of a person's heart. We are called to pray for the lost and share Christ's love, but understand that those with reprobate minds will have a deep and visible contempt for the things of God. This should stir us to greater urgency in reaching out while there is still hope.

Brief Prayer:

Lord, give us wisdom and compassion to reach the lost and help us discern the true condition of the hearts around us. May we never grow weary in sharing Your truth, and may Your Spirit lead many to repentance.

Amen.
