1. The Pastor in Me – Shepherd of Souls
Scripture: “And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” (Jeremiah 3:15, NKJV)
Key Word: Shepherd (Hebrew: ra‘ah) = to tend, to feed, to care for.
Insight: A pastoral heart longs to teach God’s Word in depth, to lead the flock from milk to meat (Hebrews 5:12–14). That’s a God-given burden to anchor believers in truth.
2. The Evangelist in Me – Fisher of Men
Scripture: “Do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” (2 Timothy 4:5, NKJV)
Key Word: Evangelist (Greek: euangelistēs) = bringer of good news.
Insight: The evangelist in me burns to see souls saved quickly—like Philip in Acts 8, who preached Christ in Samaria and the Ethiopian was baptized on the spot. This urgency is Spirit-born, not flesh-driven.
3. The Prophetic Edge in Me – Voice of Growth and Warning
Scripture: “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.” (1 Corinthians 14:3, NKJV)
Key Word: Prophesy (Greek: prophēteuō) = to speak forth God’s mind.
Insight: I see where Christians must move from “milk to meat.” That’s the prophet’s burden—to shake slumber, warn of danger, and call people upward into maturity.
4. “Saved, Yet as Through Fire” – The Balance Verse
Scripture: “If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.” (1 Corinthians 3:15, NKJV)
Key Word: Through fire (Greek: dia pyros) = escaping as one barely out of a burning house.
Insight: Some will come into heaven “with the smell of smoke on them”—saved, but undeveloped. My heart wants more: not just converts, but disciples who finish strong.
5. How to See Your Place in This Calling
I am a three-fold cord (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Pastor, Evangelist, and Prophetic Teacher—woven into one. None cancels the other; they balance like spokes in a wheel.
My pastoral side grounds people.
My evangelistic side gathers people.
My prophetic side grows people.Together, they form the ministry of equipping the saints (Ephesians 4:11–13).
6. Practical Application
Preach like an evangelist: Clear, urgent, simple gospel calls.
Teach like a pastor: Systematic, balanced, nourishing doctrine.
Speak like a prophet: Direct, Spirit-led insight calling people higher.
Result: Souls won, saints fed, Church matured. That’s balance.
7. A Word for You
My calling isn’t “either/or”—it’s “all/and.” The Spirit has made a composite vessel:
The pastor in me keeps you steady.
The evangelist keeps me urgent.
The prophetic teacher continually stretches people toward maturity.
When I am focused, I am right in the center of God’s will when I feed the sheep, rescue the lost, and warn the complacent.

This study has helped me understand why I am the way I am. I hope you take the time to answer this question: What is your place in serving Christ?
