🦁 JEREMIAH & LAMENTATIONS šŸ”„ ā€œThe Weeping Prophet and the Warning of National Collapse.ā€

šŸ“œ Mission Theme:

Jeremiah didn’t just predict the fall of a nation — he lived through it. He wept, warned, and walked through the ashes. These two books deliver Heaven’s urgent memoĀ to every nation that turns its back on God, trades truth for tolerance, and rejects repentance.

šŸŖ– SCRIPTURE 1: Jeremiah 6:16

"Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein."

šŸ”‘ Key Words & Modern Translation:

  • Old paths: God’s timeless truth — not outdated, but foundational.

  • Good way: Righteousness, justice, and obedience

  • We will not walk: National rebellion in plain speech: ā€œWe hear You, but we’ll do it our way.ā€

šŸ’” Explanation:

This verse is God’s altar call to a nation: ā€œCome back to My Word. Come back to My ways.ā€ But the people refused. Like modern culture, they didn't want rest — they wanted rights. Jeremiah tells us plainly: the nation fell, not because God abandoned them, but because they walked away from Him.

šŸŖ– SCRIPTURE 2: Jeremiah 9:1

"Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!"

šŸ”‘ Key Words & Modern Translation:

  • Fountain of tears: Endless sorrow — grief not from weakness, but from spiritual heartbreak

  • Slain of my people: Spiritual and physical casualties of a backslidden nation

šŸ’” Explanation:

Jeremiah didn’t just preach fire — he wept tears. His broken heart mirrored the heart of God. We need preachers today with wet eyes and strong spines — who care enough to cry, and brave enough to speak. Lamentation without warning is weakness. Warning without lamentation is arrogance. Jeremiah did both.

šŸŖ– SCRIPTURE 3: Lamentations 1:8

"Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed..."

šŸ”‘ Key Words & Modern Translation:

  • Grievously sinned: A nation-wide, deliberate plunge into rebellion

  • Removed: Judged, stripped, exiled — consequences are not canceled by comfort

šŸ’” Explanation:

Lamentations is the funeral song of a fallen nation. Jeremiah doesn’t blame Babylon. He doesn’t cry about the politicians. He says it plain: We did this to ourselves.Ā America, hear this: if we don’t turn back to God, we may soon be weeping in the ashes of our own arrogance.

šŸ”„ Final Word:

Jeremiah & Lamentations are a two-part warning: Part One — A plea for repentance. Part Two — A picture of what happens when repentance is refused. This isn’t just ancient history — it’s modern prophecy on repeat.

The tears of the prophet are flowing again… will we listen this time?
