(Bless your heart for noticing...)
I’ve had it said to me more times than I can count:
“Well, if you didn’t use that AI, you wouldn’t be able to write like that.”
And to that, I say: You. Are. Absolutely. Positively. 100% Correct. In fact — thank you for noticing. Let me go ahead and write your whole argument for you, but I’ll do it in the style of somebody who’s not bitter — just better prepared than you thought.
🧠 Top 10 Things I Cannot Do Without Help
(Since we’re airing everybody’s limitations, let’s shine up the spotlight.)
1. I cannot see beyond the walls of my house without a screen, a drone, a telescope, or a window. So unless you’ve got eyes like the archangels, you’re probably watching a screen too.
2. I cannot talk to someone 100 yards away without a device that transmits and receives. It’s called a telephone. You probably used one to tell somebody I "cheated" by using AI.
3. I cannot write a book without paper, ink, keys, and something to hold the words in place. Unless I’m supposed to shout my testimony into the wind and hope it lands on a publishing deal.
4. I cannot cook without fire, food, pans, utensils, or teeth. Thank the Lord for microwaves and feeding tubes, amen?
5. I cannot read without light. And that light has never once accused me of “using electricity unfairly.”
6. I cannot fly without wings, jet engines, or Southwest Airlines. But I’ve still been to more places with this mouth and message than some folks with frequent flyer miles.
7. I cannot keep my pants up without a belt, and no one has ever told me I wasn’t “authentic” because I wear one.
8. I cannot see well without my glasses. But somehow, I still see through: deception, distortion, and doctrinal error just fine.
9. I cannot preach to my grandchildren in the future unless I record it now using a tool. So yes, I use AI—not because I’m lazy, but because I’m leaving them a trail to Jesus.
10. And finally... I cannot do anything of eternal value without the Holy Ghost. So let’s all agree right now — the only One doing the real work around here is God anyway.
💥 Now Imagine This...
What if, instead of reminding everybody what they can’t do without AI, you started imagining what people could do with it?
What if we saw tools the way God sees them — as extensions of obedience, not replacements for anointing?
What if you stopped measuring authenticity by the number of candles a preacher uses instead of by the number of souls he reaches?
What if you realized that men inspired by God wrote your Bible... and preserved it through centuries of translation tools, scribes, copyists, and technology?
Tools don’t remove the miracle. They help carry it.
🙃 So Let Me Just Say, Loddy Da…
Yes, I use AI. Yes, it helps me spell, sharpen my mind, speak, and serve. And no, I’m not ashamed of it. Not one bit because I still have to pray. I still have to discern. I still have to live what I write. And if you're mocking the tools more than using your own… maybe that’s the real issue.
With love, fire, and a grin,— Pastor Terry
Still human. Still called. Still preaching.
