Don’t Yawn While God’s Word Is Being Fulfilled!

Friend, I know some of this may sound a little redundant, but that’s exactly the point. Satan would love nothing more than to lull believers to sleep, to distract us, or even to bore us while God’s Word is being fulfilled right before our eyes.

Just look around: wars flaring up in Ukraine and the Middle East, earthquakes shaking Taiwan, nations tightening control over money and speech, strange new diseases rising, and weather extremes that leave leaders scratching their heads.

Jesus said these things would come like “birth pains” (Matt. 24), and here they are.

The danger is not just in the headlines—it’s in how easily we grow numb to them.

Yet the Lord told us to lift up our heads when we see these things, for our redemption is drawing near (Luke 21:28). This isn’t the hour to yawn; it’s the hour to watch, pray, and live ready—because the same grace that saved us is the grace that strengthens us to stand and witness to those around us.

So don’t drift. Stay awake. Share the hope of Christ. The world may tremble, but our Savior never will.
