Don't Lose the Fire Just Because It's the Weekend.

 Saturday, May 17, 2025

 Today’s Word:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

    — 1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV)

Weekends don’t scare the devil.

He doesn’t take Saturdays off.

So why should we drop our guard?

Too many believers let their Spiritual fire grow cold on Saturday, only to try and reignite it for Sunday.

But if your altar has been empty all week, don’t be surprised when the fire doesn’t fall on Sunday morning.

Sober (Greek: nēphō) means clear-minded, calm under pressure.

Vigilant (Greek: grēgoreō) means awake, alert, watching with purpose.

The enemy isn’t sleeping.

But praise God — neither is the Spirit within you.

Today, declare war on weekend laziness:

 Pray before you scroll.

 Serve before you self-soothe.

 Worship before you wander.

Don’t let your Saturday silence your Sunday shout.

Will & Lilly Discipleship – Weekend Reflection:

Did you miss yesterday’s episode? Read “A Dare, A Decision, and a Doorway” — a lesson on peer pressure and standing for truth, no matter what.

Coming Monday: Will learns that telling the truth might cost him more than he thought… but it gains him even more.

Teddy Bear Warriors – Weekend Word:

“The battle doesn't pause when the calendar turns. Real warriors wake up ready every day — because eternity doesn't take naps.”

 Memory Verse for Today

 Let’s Memorize This Together Today:

“Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

    — James 4:7

 Say it out loud:

 Write it down.

 Pray it in.

 Live it out.

A Note to My Friends and Followers:

Your soul doesn't run on a five-day schedule.

Don’t lose momentum — build it.

The lion may be roaming, but the Lamb is reigning.

With love and truth,
