— A Midnight-Watch Message for the Hour
(Scripture taken from NKJV unless otherwise noted)
GOD’S VIEW
“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted And saves such as be of a contrite spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” — 2 Corinthians 10:4
“You shall not murder.” — Exodus 20:13
Church, the scenes unfolding in our land — threats against protesters, public celebration of assassination, mockery of sacred life — are not simply “Political unrest.” They reflect a Spiritual war. Scripture warns: the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8).
When Mankind mock murder, when civility gives way to hostility, when violence is applauded, we must see it through God’s eyes: sin is being unleashed, truth is assaulted, and the innocent suffer.
The recent assassination of Charlie Kirk is a tragic marker — Political violence is no longer isolated.
When those who should teach our children make gestures of violence.
When threats escalate into Terroristic behavior.
We are not merely witnessing unrest — we are on the edge of something far larger.
God sees this, and He will not ignore it. The blood of the innocent cries out (Genesis 4:10). The Word says we are in “perilous times” (2 Timothy 3:1). This is the urgency of the hour: not alarmism, but sober watchfulness.
HOPE
“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth…” — Isaiah 43:19
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” — John 1:5
“And so through Him we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” — Romans 5:2
Father, we don’t despair. Though darkness marches, the Dawn is unbeaten.
Jesus Christ remains King. The gates of hell cannot prevail against His Church (Matthew 16:18).
What we see as chaos is also the stirring of Revival.
God is raising watchmen (Isaiah 62:6).
He is turning the Scare into a Call, the Threat into a Testimony, the Storm into the Seed of Revival.
CHANGE
“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so…” — Psalm 107:2
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” — Romans 12:2
“And how shall they preach unless they are sent?” — Romans 10:15
Change begins when we align ourselves with what God demands, not what the age applauds.
Refuse to normalize violence. Every human life bears God’s image (Genesis 1:27).
Hold fast to truth, not compromise.
Engage, don’t retreat. “Expose the works of darkness” (Ephesians 5:11).
Restore the home arena. Parents, grandparents, teachers: this hour demands your vigilance.
Remember the prophetic dimension. The signs of the times call us not to fear, but to prepare. (Revelation 13)
PRACTICE (How to stay changed)
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only…” — James 1:22
“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
Practical steps:
Begin each day in Scripture and prayer before the news feed.
Memorize key verses.
Have family conversations about honoring life.
Join a prayer group or accountability circle.
Speak with grace and truth.
Live in expectation of Christ’s return.
Give your time, voice, and resources to causes that uphold life, truth, and family.
Stay vigilant, not fearful. Let urgency motivate compassion, not condemnation.
My Perspective and Charge to You
We are living in a threshold hour. The visible mockery of murder and life is a symptom of deeper spiritual rebellion.
We must not retreat. We must engage—with wisdom, Scripture, love, and courage.
Time is short. The world will not wait. We must be ready—our families, churches, voices ready.
And yet, we preach with hope. Because our God reigns. Because in the midst of horror, revival often begins.
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that You are Lord (Philippians 2:10-11). In this hour of mockery and menace, we stand in Your name. Pour out courage on the faint, wisdom on the confused, strength on the fearful. Use Your Church as a torch in the darkness, a refuge for the weak, a voice for the voiceless. Reclaim our homes, families, schools, cities. Let revival spring even in the shadows. Christ has risen — and He is coming. Until then, we watch. We wait. We work.
In Jesus’ name — Amen.
