Outline: Spirit of Delusion.

As believers, we have been warned in the Scriptures about the presence of the Spirit of Delusion in our present times. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11 tells us that the coming of the lawless one is by the work of Satan and that with all power, signs, and false wonders, he will deceive those who are perishing. In light of this warning, we must be vigilant and recognize the signs of the spirit of delusion that are present in our world today.

I. False Teachers

A. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 warns us that there will be a time when people will not endure sound teaching but will instead surround themselves with teachers who tell them what they want to hear.

B. False teaching can lead to a distorted view of God, the Gospel, and our faith.

C. We must be able to discern false teachings and test them against the truth in the Scriptures.

II. Rebellion Against God's Design

A. Romans 1:18-32 warns us that when people reject God, they exchange the truth of God for a lie and follow their desires and passions.

B. The spirit of delusion is present when people reject God's design for marriage, gender, and sexuality.

C. We must stand firm on Biblical truth and not compromise with the culture's rebellion against God's design.

III. Love of Self

A. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 warns us that in the last days, people will be lovers of self, having no self-control and being arrogant and treacherous.

B. The Spirit of Delusion is present when people prioritize their desires and comfort over doing what is right.

C. We must focus on loving God and others instead of ourselves.

IV. False Signs and Wonders

A. Matthew 24:24 warns us that false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

B. False signs and wonders can lead people to believe in false teachings and follow erroneous instructions.

C. We must test everything against the Scriptures and not be swayed by false signs and wonders.

The Spirit of Delusion is present in our world today, and as believers, we must be vigilant and rooted in the truth of God's Word. We must discern false teachings, stand firm on Biblical truth, love God and others, and test everything against the Scriptures. Let us remain faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ and not be led astray by the Spirit of Delusion.
