Lazarus's perspective after being raised from the Dead

Here's a devotion from Lazarus's perspective after being raised from the dead.

Scripture: "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'" (John 11:25-26 NIV)

Illustration: Imagine being Lazarus, wrapped in grave clothes, lying in a tomb. You had been dead for four days, and everyone thought it was over. But then, you hear a voice that you recognize as Jesus's. The next thing you know, you're walking out of the tomb, free from the bonds of death.

Quote: "In the face of death, Jesus proclaimed himself as the resurrection and the life. He conquered death, and through him, we too can conquer death." - Unknown.

Comment: Lazarus's story is a powerful testament to the power of Jesus. It shows that even when all hope seems lost, Jesus can bring life back to the dead. Lazarus's resurrection foreshadows Jesus's resurrection and the promise of eternal life available to all who believe in him.

As Lazarus, I am humbled and grateful to have been given a second chance at life. I know that my resurrection was not just for my benefit but also for the glory of God. Through my story, many people have come to believe in Jesus and have found hope in the promise of eternal life.

As we reflect on the story of Lazarus, let us remember that death is not the end for those who believe in Jesus. He is the resurrection and life; through him, we can have hope for the future. So let us hold fast to the promise of eternal life and trust in Jesus, who can bring life out of death.
