Encouragement when in Mourning

In the shadow of the valley, where sorrows amply grow,

Turn your gaze toward Heaven, let the Scriptures' solace flow.

Mourning now, your heart is aching, whispers sighs of profound despair,

Yet remember in the Scriptures, God's love is ever near.

As the sparrows in the sky, or lilies in the field,

Not one escapes His gentle gaze, His loving care revealed.

He numbers every hair, and every teardrop shed,

In Him, you'll find your comfort, by His hand, you're gently led.

"Though you walk through valleys darkened, fear no evil," He imparts,

For His rod and His staff, they comfort aching hearts.

Sorrow may endure for a night, but joy comes with the morn,

For every burden borne in faith, a new strength is born.

In the 23rd Psalm, a promise tenderly unfurls,

A table spread before you, in the presence of the world.

A cup of blessings overflowing, Goodness following all your days,

In His house forever dwelling, a testament to His praise.

In the book of Revelation, a promise beautifully adorned,

God will wipe away your tears; no mourning, crying, pain, forlorn.

For the former things have passed away, behold, all things made new,

In God's grand design and perfect time, this promise will ring true.

In these words of ancient wisdom, though your heart is sorely tried,

Find the strength in God's eternal love, in His presence, abide.

Your grief is seen, your tears are counted, each one a poignant tale,

Trust in Him, the Alpha and Omega, for His love will never fail.

So let these Scriptures be your balm, your fortress in the night,

A beacon in the darkest hours, your guide to morning light.

God's promises are faithful, His compassion without end,

In your journey through the valley, He is your dearest friend.
