WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE OF HAVE NEVER HEARD OF JESUS?

The question of what happens to those who have never heard of Jesus is a complex one that has puzzled theologians and philosophers for centuries. Some religious traditions teach that belief in Jesus is necessary for Salvation and eternal life. In contrast, others take a broader view and emphasize the importance of good deeds and moral behavior.

In Christianity, the belief that faith in Jesus is necessary for Salvation is based on the teachings of the Bible. According to the New Testament, Jesus Himself declared, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). This verse and others like it have led many Christians to conclude that belief in Jesus is essential for entry into heaven.

However, this view raises a problematic question: what about people who have never had the opportunity to hear about Jesus? If faith in Jesus is necessary for Salvation, then it would seem unfair for people who have never heard of Him to be denied eternal life simply because of their circumstances.

One Christian response to this question is the concept of "invincible ignorance." This idea holds that people who have never heard of Jesus but live moral lives according to their conscience and understanding may still be saved. This view is based on the idea that God is merciful and will not condemn someone who has done their best to live a good life, even if they have not heard the gospel.

· My choice is that the question is unanswerable. While the Bible teaches that Faith in Jesus is necessary for Salvation, it also emphasizes the importance of humility and leaving judgment to God. Christians who take this view might argue, as I do, that it is not our place to speculate about what happens to those who have never heard of Jesus but rather to focus on Spreading the Gospel and living out our Faith as best we can.

Outside of Christianity, there are many different beliefs about Salvation and the afterlife. In some traditions, good deeds and ethical behavior are more important than specific beliefs or religious practices. In others, the concept of Salvation is separate from religion.

Ultimately, the question of what happens to those who have never heard of Jesus is complex, with no clear answers. Different religious traditions and individual believers will have their perspectives on the matter. However, many people can agree on the importance of treating others with kindness and respect, regardless of their beliefs or circumstances.
