The Most Important Decision.

The most important decision anyone can make is to follow God's plan for their life, as the Bible says. This decision has life-altering consequences for our daily existence and eternal destiny. So let me take you through these Scriptures to unpack what this decision entails.

First, Psalm 119:165 says, "Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble." This Scripture tells us that when we love and follow God's law, we experience a deep sense of peace that allows us to stand firm even in the face of adversity.

Proverbs 1:33 says, "But whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster." In this verse, we are promised security and ease when we listen to God's wisdom. This is because God's wisdom leads us down a path of righteousness and away from danger.

Matthew 6:25-34 is a well-known passage where Jesus teaches us not to worry about our earthly needs because our heavenly Father takes care of us. By worrying, Jesus reminds us that we cannot add a single hour to our lifespan. Instead, we are to trust God and seek His kingdom first.

Mark 8:34-38 is another teaching of Jesus where He instructs us to take our cross and follow Him. This means aligning our lives with God's will, even if it means setting aside our desires. The reward is eternal life with Him.

John 3:16-21 and 36 explain that God loves the world and sent His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life. Those who do not believe are condemned. This Scripture highlights the importance of believing in Jesus as the only way to eternal life.

Acts 2:38-39 shows us that when we repent and are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This is how we become a part of God's family and receive the blessings and promises of Salvation.

II Timothy 3:16-17 reminds us that all Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. This means that the Bible should be our guidebook for life, providing us with the knowledge and wisdom we need to live a righteous and faithful life.

Finally, II Peter 1:2-10 tells us that, Therefore, God has given us everything we need for life and godliness by His divine power. We are called to supplement our faith with virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love. Doing so makes our calling and election sure and will never fall away.

In conclusion, the decision to follow God's plan for our life is the most significant decision we will ever make. It requires us to love His law, listen to His wisdom, trust Him for our needs, take up our cross, believe in Jesus for Salvation, repent and be baptized, and rely on Scripture for guidance.

When we make this choice, we are promised a life of Peace, Security, and Eternal reward with our Heavenly Father.
