A young man named Jack lived on a farm with his father and older brother. Jack was full of energy and always looking for new adventures, but he didn't appreciate the hard work it took to run a farm.
One day, Jack went to his father and said, "Father, I want my share of the inheritance now. I don't want to wait until you pass away. I want to go out and see the world and have some fun!"
His father was surprised and saddened by this request, but he knew he couldn't stop Jack from leaving. So he gave Jack his share of the inheritance and watched as he left the farm, eager for new experiences.
Jack spent all his money on wild parties, expensive clothes, and fancy food. He made new friends who liked him for his money, but he soon found out they weren't true friends. He was left alone and hungry when his money ran out, sleeping on the streets.
One day, Jack realized that he had made a colossal mistake. He missed his family and his home on the farm. He missed the simple life and the love of his father.
So Jack decided to go back home. He was nervous about how his father would react, but he knew he had to try. As he walked up the long driveway to the farmhouse, he saw his father waiting for him with open arms.
"Father, I am sorry for what I have done. I know I don't deserve your love or forgiveness, but please let me come back and work for you as a servant," Jack said, tears streaming down his face.
But his father hugged him tightly and said, "My dear son, I have been waiting for you to come home. You are not a servant, and you are my son. You were lost, but now you are found. Let us celebrate your return with a feast!"
And so Jack was welcomed back into his family with love and joy. He learned that no matter how far he wandered or how much he messed up, his father's love was always there waiting for him. From that day on, Jack worked hard on the farm and never took his family for granted again.
